Asia Internet Coalition Japan (AICJ) established

 

The Asia Internet Coalition Japan (AICJ) was established on September 25, 2013 by seven Internet companies . Its mission is to properly represent industry opinion on policies and institutions in order to ensure the sustained and robust growth of the Internet industry and to encourage public debate on Internet related issues.

The AICJ seeks to compile opinions from the Internet industry—particularly from those players in the upper layer of the Internet. Its goal is to conduct research and promote understanding of Japan’s Internet policies in order to support the establishment of innovative businesses, protect and promote the application of intellectual property, ensure fair and uninhibited flow of information, and create user friendly Internet services.

Operation Overview: The AICJ’s mission is to conduct research and promote understanding of Japan’s Internet policies in order to properly represent industry opinion, encourage public debate on various issues ensuring the sustained and robust growth of the Internet industry.
